DoD Physical Disability Board of Review (PDBR)
The DoD level Board provides Veterans who were medically separated from their Military Service between Sept 11, 2001 and 31 Dec 2009 an opportunity for review of their disability ratings to ensure fairness, consistency and accuracy?
The PDBR was created by Congress in 2008 and the PDBR began reviewing its first cases in June 2009. We have over 77,000 Veterans in this country eligible but have less than 2500 applicants to date. Since the PDBR began review cases, over 50% of Veterans have had their original disability determination upgraded, resulting in a retirement for the Veteran.
We are committed to getting the word out to our Veterans and many of the Eligible Veterans reside in California. We have started our outreach efforts in Colorado and will now focus on California and Texas.
Also linked here is a Press Release with the details of the program. As a 30 year Air Force Veteran myself, I know how much good this program can do for our soldiers, airmen, marines and sailors.
